Romania needs a president who will make it strong, because a strong Romania also means the security of the Republic of Moldova. The statement was made by the members of the local Chisinau organization of the National Liberal Party of Romania after casting their votes for the future Romanian head of state, IPN reports.

“I voted for a president who can unite all political forces in Romania because we need stability, prosperity and a strong Romania. In this way he will be able to help Moldova in the future,” said Adrian Dupu, president of the PNL branch in Chisinau.

“It is very important for Moldovans with Romanian citizenship to participate in the election of Romania’s president in order to have stability and continuity in everything that has been started for more than 30 years in the bilateral relations between Romania and the Republic of Moldova”, said Anatolie Dimitriu, deputy chairman of the PNL branch in Chisinau.
In the diaspora, voting takes place from May 2-4. There are 64 polling stations in Moldova. Voters can vote with valid Romanian identity documents, such as identity card, ID card, ID card, passport or military service card, in the case of military school students.
There are 11 candidates on the ballot paper. If none of them wins a majority in the first round, a second ballot will be held in the diaspora on May 16, 17 and 18.
Romanian citizens from outside Romania can vote in the more than 950 polling stations open in the diaspora.
