President Maia Sandu has sent a message to Romanians with the right to vote in the Republic of Moldova, saying that on May 2, 3 and 4 “we have the opportunity to make our voice heard – to vote in the presidential elections in Romania”, IPN reports.
“Democracy is about having your say. Every vote counts. Every choice can determine the direction Romania will take. I urge you to vote. For a democratic and European Romania, our trustworthy and close partner”, says the head of state.
On May 2, 3 and 4, voting in the first round of the Romanian presidential elections will take place at polling stations abroad. Moldovan citizens with Romanian citizenship are expected to go to the polls in one of the 64 polling stations open throughout Moldova. Voting abroad is organized on the first two days until 21.00 local time and until 21.00 Romanian time on Sunday.
