The deadline for the payment of property tax by individuals, for properties acquired up to and including March 31, 2026, expires on June 30. The land tax must also be paid by this date. Taxpayers are urged to respect the deadline to avoid possible penalties, IPN reports.

The State Fiscal Service specifies that payments can be made online, through the MPay government electronic payment service and on the institution’s web page. Also, cash payments are possible at the counters of commercial banks and at the “Posta Moldovei” offices.

Authorities warn that, in case of non-payment on time, a late penalty of 0.0301% per day will be applied for each day of delay.

The sum of the property tax and the land tax is calculated annually by the local tax and fee collection services within the town halls, in the case of individuals, as well as for peasant (farmer) households in the case of unevaluated lands.

The 400 kV Overhead Power Line from Vulcanesti to Chisinau has been energized up to the Chisinau Power Station. According to the Minister of Energy, Dorin Junghietu, the final tests and checks are to follow before the line is put into commercial operation, reports IPN.

“Putting it under tension allows us to test the operation of the entire route, the protection equipment, the control systems, and the behavior of the installations under real operating conditions. This project is not just about 157 kilometers of power line. It means the possibility of directly transporting energy from Romania to the center of the Republic of Moldova, without the vulnerabilities of the old infrastructure”, declared Dorin Junghietu.

Previously, the Minister of Energy made a visit to the Chisinau Power Station to check the results of the technical tests carried out last week and the preparations for the next stage. He discussed with representatives of the contractor Electromontaj SA, the consulting company overseeing the works, and the operator of the electric power transmission system, Moldelectrica.
