President of Moldova Maia Sandu addressed citizens on the occasion of Memorial Easter (Pastele Blajinilor), highlighting the importance of preserving the memory of loved ones and strengthening family bonds during these days of remembrance, IPN reports.

“In these days, our thoughts turn to those who are no longer with us, but who remain forever in our hearts. Families come together to honor the memory of those who have passed, to share memories, and to strengthen the bonds that unite us. May these moments bring comfort to our souls and serve as a bridge between the past and the present,” the president wrote on her social media page.

ANRE will examine the request for a gas price increase on Friday

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
