The Air Operations Service within the National Army detected last night the unauthorized overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by an aerial object. According to the Ministry of Defense, the aircraft would have left the country’s territory in the direction between the localities of Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova) and Novoselka (Ukraine), reports IPN.

At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities have informed the Border Police about the overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by a Shahed type drone in the eastern region, in the direction of Aleksandrovka (Ukraine) – Ucrainca (Republic of Moldova).

“Based on the information received, the responsible institutions have undertaken all necessary procedural measures, including the verification of the area where the overflight occurred,” is mentioned in a press release from the Ministry of Defense.

The authorities assure that the airspace of the Republic of Moldova is constantly monitored, and all necessary measures are taken to prevent and manage any potential risks.

In the context of this incident, citizens are urged to exercise increased vigilance and to inform the competent authorities in the event of observing unidentified flying objects.

Repair work on Mitropolit Dosoftei Street in the capital, on the section between Henri Coandă and Mihai Viteazul streets, will begin on Wednesday, July 22. According to municipal authorities, traffic will be partially restricted until August 30, with lanes being closed in stages, IPN reports.

The work includes resurfacing the road, replacing curbs, repairing sidewalks, and creating new parking spaces.

The city urges drivers to obey the temporary traffic signs in place during the construction work and to exercise caution in the construction zone.

At the same time, drivers are urged to choose alternative routes whenever possible to avoid traffic jams and facilitate the progress of the work.
