The mechanism for granting the increase for individual performance of teaching staff will be revised by the Ministry of Education and Research. Teachers and school managers are invited to come up with proposals for simplifying the procedure, reports IPN.

Teaching and management staff from primary and secondary education institutions, cycles I and II, can express their opinions and share their experiences by completing an online questionnaire until August 1.

According to the MEC, the mechanism is to be revised to reduce bureaucracy in the work of teaching staff, streamline the evaluation process and ensure a fair and transparent financial motivation system for the teaching staff.

The performance bonus for individual professional performance is granted concurrently with the monthly salary and applies over a semester, for the results obtained in the evaluation of individual professional performances achieved in the previous semester. For newly hired teaching staff, the performance bonus can be set after at least one month from the date of employment.

Cristin Ghemu from the Hancesti District Prosecutor’s Office has been suspended from his position by the Superior Council of Prosecutors, at the request of the general prosecutor Alexandru Machidon. The investigator is being examined in the case of the alleged bribe of 400 thousand dollars, reports IPN.

The decision was made at the CSP meeting on July 23. According to the CSP president, Dumitru Obada, the suspension takes effect from July 17 and will remain in force until a final decision is made in the criminal case targeting the prosecutor.

Nine members of the Superior Council of Prosecutors voted for the suspension, while Elena Rosior voted against. The decision of the SCP can be appealed to the Supreme Court of Justice within 10 days.

Cristin Ghemu is under investigation in a case involving passive corruption, in which law enforcement officials claim he was involved in demanding the sum of 400 thousand dollars for resolving a criminal case related to money laundering. At the beginning of April, the prosecutor from Hancesti and one of the policemen detained in the same case were placed in preventive arrest.

Cristin Ghemu is accused of receiving two cryptocurrency transfers, totaling 55 thousand dollars. The prosecutor was detained based on the statements provided by Daniel Plugaru, the son of former prosecutor Victor Plugaru. He made these statements two days after he was detained at the border in another case, where he was accused of influence peddling.
