CFM sells 62 locomotives and 41 passenger wagons

The State Enterprise “Railway of Moldova” (CFM) is selling 62 locomotives and 41 passenger cars. The auctions are scheduled for December 22, reports IPN.

The locomotives will be presented in an auction “with a discount”. Most of them are of the 3ТЭ10М model – 58 lots. Three locomotives are of the 2ТЭ10Л model, and one is M62.

At the “out loud” auction on the same day, 41 passenger carriages will be displayed in separate lots, which will include the braking and coupling system, but without bogies.

Within the same auction, 90 carts will be sold, each consisting of a pair of axles with wheels – these representing the most valuable category of scrap iron, the company specifies.

Other assets of CFM, including 81 tank-containers, a service wagon ЦБ-5-659-10 and four refrigerator wagons ЦБ-5-659, will be auctioned on December 23rd.

The State Enterprise is selling unused railway units to accumulate the necessary funds for the payment of wage arrears to employees. Goods that can no longer be used due to wear or lack of spare parts are put up for sale.

Public services in the Republic of Moldova are digitalized to approximately 65% for citizens and 76% for the business environment. According to the Electronic Governance Agency, 26 public institutions already offer all services in an online format, and the authorities’ goal is that, by 2030, all public services can be accessed digitally, reports IPN.

26 public institutions have reached a level of digitization of 100%, offering all services in an online format. Among these are the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture, the Environmental Agency, the National Agency for Public Health, the National Bureau of Statistics, the Central Electoral Commission, the Ministry of Justice, etc. Another 14 institutions have digitized over half of the services they provide.

Digital services can be accessed through the EVO platform, which brings together information about 629 public services intended for citizens and the business environment. Out of these, 426 can be requested online, with or without an electronic signature, which represents 67.7% of the total.

According to the Electronic Governance Agency, the use of digital public services generated savings of over 853 million lei in 2025, by reducing the time required for both accessing and providing services.
