The Court of Appeal suspends the examination of the MJ’s request regarding the Heart of Moldova Party

The Central Court of Appeal suspends the examination of the Ministry of Justice’s request to limit the activity of the political party “Heart of Moldova”, led by Irina Vlah. This comes after the representatives of the party requested the verification of the constitutionality of some provisions of the Political Parties Law, and the magistrates complied with this request, reports IPN.

According to the decision of the appellate court, until the Constitutional Court makes a ruling, the examination of the case is suspended. Subsequently, the trial will be resumed, depending on the verdict of the Court.

The Ministry of Justice submitted a request to the Central Court of Appeal on September 19, asking to limit the activities of the “Heart of Moldova” Party. According to the institution, the action follows the notification sent by the Central Electoral Commission. However, the party has contested the CEC’s decision in court. The issue was also set to be examined today.

The National Agency for Energy Regulation will examine on Friday the request from Energocom regarding the increase in natural gas prices. The subject was included on the agenda of the ANRE meeting on July 24, reports IPN.

Energocom has requested an increase in the regulated price for consumers connected to low-pressure distribution networks from 13.35 lei to 19.37 lei per cubic meter, excluding VAT.

The request is motivated by the increase in natural gas procurement costs, against the backdrop of geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the volatility of international markets. According to Energocom, these have generated an estimated tariff deficit of around 106 million lei.
