Lands in Bacioi, expropriated for the construction of the Vulcanesti-Chisinau Power Line

1.84 hectares of agricultural land from the Băcioi commune will be transferred to state ownership, necessary for the foundations of the Vulcanesti-Chisinau Energy Independence Line pillars. Another 1.22 hectares will be used temporarily during the works. The decision was approved today by the cabinet of ministers, reports IPN.

The lands will be taken over through special expropriation procedures, and the ownership and usage rights will be transferred to the state according to a decree issued by the Government, to allow the rapid implementation of the project.

The 400 kV high voltage line Vulcanesti–Chisinau is considered a priority project for the energy infrastructure of the Republic of Moldova and is part of the interconnection plan with the European network. Authorities reiterate that the works are expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The approved legislative changes also aim at modernizing the authorization process for the construction of power plants. Investment projects with a capacity greater than 20 MW will be preliminarily evaluated by the Council for the Examination of Investments of Importance for State Security, to ensure transparency and protection of strategic interests.

According to the executive, these measures meet the commitments undertaken through the Growth Plan 2025-2027, contributing to the expansion of the electric energy balancing capacities, indispensable for the stability of the national system and the operation of the balancing market.

Business people can use, on a trial basis, the Entrepreneur’s Cabinet, a digital platform that offers them simpler access to financing programs and services of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development. According to the OED, the new system reduces the processing time of applications from eight to three working days and automatically checks the eligibility of applicants, reports IPN.

The platform is available at e-cabinet.oda.md and was developed with the support of the Swiss Government, through the OPTIM project, implemented by Helvetas Moldova. At this stage, functionalities and workflow are being tested before the official launch.

ODA specifies that the data entered by users during the testing period will be used exclusively for verifying the platform’s functionality. The submitted files will not be evaluated, and no funding will be granted based on them.

According to the ODA, through the platform, some of the information necessary for filing applications will be automatically taken from public registers. Thus, the time to complete requests will be reduced, data entry errors will be diminished, and the process of accessing funding will become simpler and faster.
