PDM vice president Andrian Candu said the representatives of the bloc ACUM are expected to come to discussions the next few days, until this Sunday. If this invitation is not accepted either, the PDM will convoke again the party’s executive committee to decide the further steps.

The bloc ACUM didn’t change its position and will not accept the PDM’s second invitation to have a dialogue on the formation of the parliamentary majority either. The Party of Socialists (PSRM) didn’t announce a clear agenda for the eventual discussions with the bloc ACUM (NOW) on the formation of a coalition. The Socialists shouldn’t have initiated preliminary discussions, but should have proposed negotiations from the start. At the same time, the bloc ACUM has less experience in politics and, after rejecting the PSRM’s proposal, showed that it does not have a common position, expert in political sciences Victor Stepaniuc and jurist Sergey Mishin stated in the talk show “Key issue” on NTV Moldova channel.

According to Maia Sandu, co-president of the bloc ACUM and leader of the Party “Action and Solidarity” (PAS), the party aims to build a state with the rule of law and to free the state institutions from captivity and to then invest in them and make sure that these work in the interests of the citizens. In this regard, the bloc proposed a package of bills addressed to the other elected MPs and they will see how many of these really want to represent the people’s interests. This package envisions the creation of three commissions of inquiry, one of which would investigate the banking fraud, and a number of dismissals, including of the prosecutor general.

The European project is now threatened by people who struggle openly against the EU, while the Romanians are obliged to defend this project as more integration will help more the EU in the future.

He refused yet to become involved, arguing he would take part in such a contest if this was transparent and free from political influence, but would not take part in a ‘show’ where the winner is already known
