Moldova to host first round of UEFA European U-17 Championship

The women’s U-17 football team of Moldova during September 19–25 will take part in the first qualifying round of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, IPN reports.

UEFA entrusted Moldova with the task of organizing the mini-tournament that will involve England, Iceland, and Azerbaijan. Moldova will play the matches at the Zimbru stadium in Chișinău. Other matches will also take place in Orhei and Vadul lui Vodă.

“We have prepared for this mini-tournament for a year. The championship is in full swing and the girls are in very good form,” stated Moldova U-17 coach Elena Subbotina.
