After raising natural gas rates, the National Agency for Energy Regulation approved higher heating tariffs in Chisinau and Bălți. The price of electricity produced by thermoelectric plants were also raised, IPN reports.

The consumers served by Termoelectrica will pay for heat 2,169 lei per gigacalorie, up from the current tariff of 1,689 lei/Gcal. The tariff for the consumers served by the thermoelectric plant CET-Nord was raised from 1,834 lei/Gcal to 2,115 lei lei/Gcal.

The average annual price of the electric power produced by Termoelectrica was increased from 2.33 lei/kWh to 3.35 lei /kWh, without VAT. The electricity produced by CET-Nord will cost 3.11 lei/kWh, without VAT, up from 2.08 lei/kWh at present.

The tariff for the heat supplied by the municipal enterprise “Termogaz-Bălți” was raised from 1,946 lei/Gcal to 2,538 lei/Gcal; by SA “Apă-Canal Chișinău” – from 1,479 lei/Gcal to 2,059 lei/Gcal; by the municipal heating enterprise “Rețelelor și Centralelor Termice Comrat” – from 1,900 lei/Gcal to 2,451 lei/Gcal; by the enterprise “Servicii Comunale Glodeni” – from 1,676 lei/Gcal to 2,274 lei/Gcal; by SA “Comgaz-Plus” – from 2,091 lei/Gcal to 2,718 lei/Gcal.

The tariffs approved by NAER on January 28 will be applied retroactively, as from January 1, 2022.

Last week, Parliament adopted a bill to increase the subsidy for heat for citizens from 67% to 80% of the value of the heating bill as from this month. This way, the subsidy was raised from 450 lei to at most 815 lei a month. The volume of heat for which the subsidy is paid was increased from 1 gigacalorie to 1.5 gigacalories.

Young specialists in the field of culture can submit their applications for employment and allocation in relevant public institutions. The Ministry of Culture announces that they can benefit from unique allowances of up to 120 thousand lei if they will take up the vacant positions announced by the institution, reports IPN.

The list of available positions includes roles such as artistic director, conductor, choreographer, actor, director, accompanist, museographer, librarian, and sound operator. These are distributed in public cultural institutions across the country.

Graduates of higher education institutions in the field can receive a grant of 120 thousand lei, and those of colleges – 90 thousand lei. The payment is made over the first three years of activity, in three equal installments.

For allocation, young people must submit a file that includes their identification document, the allocation request, educational documents, and other necessary papers. Graduates who have studied abroad must also present the certificate of recognition and equivalence of studies.

Applications can be submitted until August 21, in physical or electronic format. The list published by the Ministry of Culture includes 110 vacant positions in the public cultural institutions of the local public administration authorities and the Ministry of Culture.
