Direct flight to Brussels

Air Moldova launches the direct Chisinau – Brussels flight on October 11. The flight will be operated two times a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, IPN reports.

In a press release, the airlines says the takeoff from Chisinau will be at 6:30am, while the landing in Brussels at 8:30am. The same day, the plane will take off in Brussels at 9:20am and will land in Chisinau at 1pm.

On Thursdays, the takeoff from Chisinau will be at 7:30, while the landing in Brussels at 9:30am. In Brussels, the plane will set off at 10:20am and will land in Chisinau at 2pm.

The operator announced that the price of a one-way ticket starts from €79, with all taxes included. On the website of Air Moldova, there are no tickets already for the first day of flights. The cheapest one-way ticket for October 11 is €89, without the possibility of returning it or changing the date and hour of the flight. The most expensive one-way ticket for the business class is €279.

A pavilion with 100 stalls will be built in the “Angro” sector of the Central Market, in the access area from Mitropolit Varlaam street, where the current metal stalls are located. The modernization project was approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council, reports IPN.

The interim director of the municipal enterprise, Vasili Popa, stated that the project is part of the modernization concept of the Central Market, approved by the Chisinau Municipal Council in 2020. The investment is estimated at over 37 million lei and will be covered by the enterprise’s own resources.

According to him, the modernization of the “Angro” sector is necessary because traders are currently operating in metal stalls without a roof, which no longer meet current conditions and do not provide an adequate level of comfort and safety for sellers and buyers.

The works will be carried out in two stages, so that the activity of the economic agents can continue during the interventions. Currently, about half of the places in this sector are occupied. The project completion deadline is at most two years.
