Moldcell services unavailable due to network modernization works

Some of the customers of the mobile phone carrier Moldcell found themselves unable to phone or to receive phone calls. Contacted by IPN for a comment, representatives of the carrier said the services of Moldcell were unavailable owing to works to modernize the network performed on the night of November 9.

The company said effort is being made to fix all the glitches and to restore the services as swiftly as possible. “We apologize for the caused inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” says the message transmitted by the carrier to customers.

This is not the first time that the clients of Moldcell remained without services. It happened so last in August, when the mobile phone network failed following heavy rain.

The first medal for the Republic of Moldova at the U-17 World Wrestling Championship was won by freestyle wrestler Margarita Lisita. The athlete conquered the bronze in the 65-kilogram category, during the competition held in Baku, Azerbaijan, reports IPN.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research, the athlete from Taraclia made it to the quarterfinals, where she narrowly lost, with a score of 12-13, to Aishea Abdimalik from Kazakhstan. The opponent later made it to the finals, becoming the world vice-champion, while Lisita continued the fight in the re-qualifications.

At this stage, the representative of the Republic of Moldova defeated Eve Elisabeth Skrocki from the United States with a score of 11-0, qualifying for the bronze medal match.

In the decisive confrontation, Margarita Lisita triumphed with a 5-0 victory over the Greek athlete Vasiliki Karavanou, ascending to the podium of the U-17 World Championship. The athlete also has a bronze medal in her record, won last year at the U-15 European Championship.
