State supports the construction of a precast concrete factory

An investment of more than 72 million lei will transform the rural area of the village of Ratus, Criuleni district, into a production center for prefabricated reinforced concrete elements. The “Gido PARK” company has signed a state aid agreement with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization for the construction of a factory for the construction sector, IPN reports.

Of the total value of the project, the state will contribute more than 43 million lei, of which about 11 million in the form of a grant and the rest through partial income tax exemptions. Works are scheduled to start in June 2025 and will last 13 months.

The plant will produce pre-stressed reinforced concrete parts used in industrial, commercial and road infrastructure.

The project will create at least 40 new jobs and is part of a wider government plan to support investment in strategic industries. Over the next three years, the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization aims to support at least 150 such initiatives with a total budget of 2 billion lei.

The company “Gido PARK” has been active since 2014 in the field of commercial and industrial construction, with a portfolio of projects realized for well-known national brands. Construction continues to be an essential sector of the Moldovan economy, contributing almost 8% to GDP formation in 2024.

The National Commission for European Integration held its first meeting in its new composition, following the inauguration of the Government led by Vasile Tofan. President Maia Sandu, who presides over the commission, urged the institutions involved in the European integration process to stay mobilized and coordinate their efforts to maintain the pace of reforms, reports IPN.

During the meeting, the balance of the implementation of the National Accession Program for the first semester of the year was presented, and progress on chapters 23 and 24, which focus on justice, fundamental rights, freedom and security, were analyzed.

The members of the Commission have examined the European integration priorities of the new Government, as well as the preparations for the 2026 Expansion Package, through which the European Commission will annually assess the progress made by the Republic of Moldova.

The head of state emphasized that progress on the European path is built through consistently implemented reforms and through concrete results, felt by the citizens.

The National Commission for European Integration coordinates the implementation of the necessary reforms for the Republic of Moldova’s accession to the European Union and ensures cooperation between public authorities and other institutions involved in the country’s European journey.
