Tiraspol will be able to receive natural gas as soon as it provides the requested information regarding the complete list of beneficiaries, stated Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The Chisinau authorities must ensure that the gas is properly managed on the left bank of the Nistru River, IPN reports.

According to the Prime Minister, this assistance is intended for citizens and companies that ensure food security. “There is no energy consumption for heavy industry, such as the Metallurgical Plant, the cement production plant, or the brick factory. We have monitoring mechanisms, and as soon as the left bank allocates energy for these businesses, we will respond by reducing the delivered quantities”, Recean stated.

At the same time, Dorin Recean mentioned that the Transnistrian region has enough natural gas for only a few more days.

The Republic of Moldova and the European Union have reached a final agreement on the aid package announced earlier this week. The funds, €64 million, will be disbursed in two installments. €30 million from the first installment will be used to purchase gas and electricity for both banks of the Nistru River. Specifically, €20 million will be allocated for natural gas purchases as humanitarian aid for the Transnistrian region, while €10 million will be used to purchase electricity for the right bank’s needs. An additional €34 million from the second installment will be provided as budgetary support.

A new section of Muncesti Road has entered the rehabilitation process. The City Hall of Chisinau announces that the milling works on the roadway have begun on the sector between Arca Moldovei Street and Bacioii Noi Street, a stage that precedes the complete modernization of the asphalt surface, reports IPN.

On this section, with an area of approximately 23 thousand square meters, two layers of asphalt concrete are to be applied, the stormwater drainage channels are to be rehabilitated, and the shoulders are to be arranged with crushed stone.

In parallel, on the sector between Arca Moldovei Street and Iuri Gagarin Boulevard, the rehabilitation works using Slurry Seal technology are nearing completion. During this period, the second layer, the wear layer, is being applied, which serves to protect the road surface and extend its service life.

According to the municipality, after the completion of the works, Muncesti Road will have a modernized roadway, with better traffic conditions and an increased level of safety for traffic participants.
