The National Wine Day attracted over 150 thousand visitors from 30 countries to the Public Garden

Over 150 thousand visitors participated, over the course of two days, in the National Wine Day, held in the Great National Assembly Square. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the event attracted guests from over 30 countries.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reports that 9,100 wine taster’s booklets have been sold – an 82% increase compared to the year 2024. This year’s edition saw the participation of 106 wineries, of which 43 are small local producers, according to IPN.

The 24th edition of the National Wine Day took place under the slogan of the country’s brand “Moldovan Wine. Amazingly Good” and confirmed Moldova’s position on the international map of wine tourism.

Traditionally, there was also the Wine School, which continued to promote the culture of responsible consumption and oenological education. Visitors were able to participate in thematic sessions led by sommeliers and tasters with international experience.

The native varieties were presented, along with the peculiarities of the wine-growing regions with Protected Geographical Indication, the rules of pairing wine with dishes, and professional tasting techniques.

The program also included the Peasant Court, a space where traditional crafts such as pottery, wood carving, carpet weaving, and wine drawing were showcased.

A new section of Muncesti Road has entered the rehabilitation process. The City Hall of Chisinau announces that the milling works on the roadway have begun on the sector between Arca Moldovei Street and Bacioii Noi Street, a stage that precedes the complete modernization of the asphalt surface, reports IPN.

On this section, with an area of approximately 23 thousand square meters, two layers of asphalt concrete are to be applied, the stormwater drainage channels are to be rehabilitated, and the shoulders are to be arranged with crushed stone.

In parallel, on the sector between Arca Moldovei Street and Iuri Gagarin Boulevard, the rehabilitation works using Slurry Seal technology are nearing completion. During this period, the second layer, the wear layer, is being applied, which serves to protect the road surface and extend its service life.

According to the municipality, after the completion of the works, Muncesti Road will have a modernized roadway, with better traffic conditions and an increased level of safety for traffic participants.
