The exclusion of a parliamentary party would lead to repeated or early elections, Igor Dodon

Igor Dodon, one of the leaders of the Patriotic Electoral Bloc, accuses the current government of intending to annul the election results obtained by one of the parties that entered Parliament. According to him, the exclusion of a parliamentary party could lead to the organization of repeated or even early elections, reports IPN.

Igor Dodon accuses that the electoral process was marked by abuses, institutional pressures, and restrictions on the press. He maintains that the PAS government achieved a “suspiciously good” result compared to the polls, as it would have “hijacked the electoral process”.

At the same time, Igor Dodon maintains that the government’s intention to annul the results of some formations that have access to Parliament would seriously undermine the legitimacy of the new majority. “The government’s intention, through institutions captured by PAS, to annul the electoral result obtained by some formations that have made it to Parliament, will constitute the final fatal blow to the rule of law, to the principles of democratic voting and to the will of the people,” warned the leader of the Socialist Party.

The statements were made in the context of a complaint filed by the National Investigation Inspectorate with the Central Election Commission, alleging fraudulent promotion of the Home Democracy Party on TikTok. According to the party leader, Vasile Costiuc, the documents submitted by the NII contain accusations that he considers abusive and that could lead to the loss of the six deputy mandates obtained by the party. The complaint is to be examined today during a meeting of the CEC.

Following the parliamentary elections on September 28, the Action and Solidarity Party secured 55 deputy mandates, BEP – 26 mandates, the Alternative Bloc – 8 mandates, while the Our Party Political Party and the Democracy at Home Party each obtained six.

The “Eugen Doga” International Airport in Chisinau has launched a public tender for the current repair and maintenance of the asphalt concrete surfaces of the aerodrome platform. The estimated value of the contract is 67.2 million lei, excluding VAT, reports IPN.

According to the announcement published on the public procurement platform, bids can be submitted during the period of August 3-17, after the clarification request stage has ended, which will take place until August 3.

According to the technical documentation, a large part of the investment is intended for the repair of platform no. 1, where the aircraft parking spots are located. The verified estimate for these works is approximately 55 million lei, including VAT.

The repairs are not limited to the area where the aircraft are stationed, but also target the infrastructure used daily by airport services. Thus, the repairs also include the connection area between the control point and the aerodrome platform, the parking area designated for airport vehicles, the area where the workshops and material depots are located, as well as the area of the fuel supply station. At the same time, work will also be carried out on the access road to the passenger terminal.

The specification book indicates that the need for interventions was identified following technical inspections. The documentation further stipulates that the interventions will be carried out in operational areas and with restricted access, without affecting the airport’s activity.
