The Zoological Garden of Chisinau on May 9 will celebrate the 45th anniversary of its founding. Contests and special events will be held on this occasion for the small ones, starting at 10am, IPN reports.
The guests whose family name is similar to the name of animals, like Ursu (Bear), Lupu (Wolf), Zaitsev (Hare), Volkov (Wolf) or likewise, will be allowed to enter the Zoological Garden free of charge when they show the identity card. The program also includes the offering of prizes and presents, an entertaining performance with animators and dances. The guests will be able to win the top prize – a family trip in Europe.
In the ordinary meeting of officials of municipal services, mayor general Ion Ceban said that the Chisinau City Hall during the last few years invested a lot in the rehabilitator of the Zoological Garden and in the purchase of new species of animals and birds for the Zoo. “There were repaired the stairs and cages and created conditions for the employees and inhabitants of the Zoo. In total, over 23 million lei was allocated in 2020-2023 from the municipal budget for the Zoo’s infrastructure,” stated the mayor.
The Zoological Garden started to work according to the summer program and is open until 8pm, but the ticket office is closed earlier. For children younger than seven and persons with disabilities, entrance is free of charge. Students and pensioners pay 5 lei for a ticket, while grownups pay 30 lei.
