Speaker of Parliament Zinaida Grechanyi said the government that should transfer the power no longer has the right to adopt decisions. In a special edition on NTV Moldova channel, she said the new government is the one that should pronounce on important subjects, IPN reports.
According to Zinaida Grechanyi, the decision to transfer the site of the former National Stadium to the U.S. Embassy is an attempt made by the former government to obtain the United States’ support. “This should not be a reason for negotiation. Can they negotiate with the country?” asked the leader of the Party of Socialists.
She noted the former government does not want to pass on the power despite the support enjoyed by the new parliamentary majority and the new Government in the country and abroad. “It seems that the people’s pressure is needed. If they do not want to transfer the power peacefully, according to the Constitution the population can exert pressure on the power so as to make this peacefully pass on the power,” stated the politician.
According to her, the people’s force is big and those who aim to keep power by all means should concede namely to the people.
