Zdob si Zdub band leaves for Dusserdolf May 2

The band Zdob si Zdub makes the last preparations for Eurovision. Moldova’s representatives promise a great show on the stage in Germany’s Dusserdolf, Info-Prim Neo reports. Lead singer Roman Iagupov told a news conference on Friday that they are agreeing the last details of the show for the song “So Lucky”. He said the band is not afraid of competition as it staged an exceptional show. The members of the band will wear short pants, shirts with Moldovan traditional elements and hats that are over half a meter in height. The costumes were designed by painter Sergiu Bucur, with whom the band cooperated for the albums “Our Camp” and “Ethnomechanics”. There was introduced a new element in the show - a yellow cube that accentuates the giant hats made from lamb wool. Producer Igor Danga said they did not make a video clip yet as they did not have enough time. “The previous years they experienced financial difficulties, but this year the problem is the lack of time,” he stated. Moldova’s representatives at Eurovision leave for Germany on May 2. The first general rehearsal will be held on May 3. The second semifinal in which Moldova will compete will take place on May 12, while the final on May 14. In 2005, Zdob si Zdub ranked sixth at Eurovision Song Contest.
