A man aged 21 who was on a visit to his grandparents in Nicoreni village of Drochia district died last night. It happened after he and his brother got into conflict with a group of local young men, IPN reports.

The Drochia Police Inspectorate said the brothers aged 17 and 21, who are both inhabitants of Chisinau municipality, allegedly drank alcoholic beverages in their grandparents’ village. On the street, they picked a quarrel with four men aged between 20 and 25 from the village.

The 21-year-old man from Chisinau punched one of the locals in the face and then went to his grandparents’ home. Later, five young men went to him to clarify the situation. The man was later found lying unconscious by his mother. The ambulance doctors stated his death.

Legal action was taken over hooliganism. Two men aged 21 and 22 from Nicoreni were arrested.
