A young man is accused of stealing 4,000 lei from the church of Baxani village of Soroca district. If his guilt is proven, he will serve up to four years in jail, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office, on the night of April 8 the man broke into the church through the back door and stole 4,000 lei from the safe. When questioned by the prosecutors, he accepted his blame. He said he decided to commit the offense because he needed money to buy clothes and a mobile phone. The young man was remanded in custody.
