Yellow advisory for heat, temperatures to rise to +38°C in southern districts

Weather forecasters issued a yellow code advisory for high temperatures for Monday and Tuesday. Air temperatures are expected to rise to+33..+35°C, while in southern Moldova they will even reach +38°C on Tuesday, IPN reports.

A warning for exceptional fire hazards was also issued. The State Weather Service said any source of fire that gets out of control can cause large fires when the level of humidity is low, the temperatures are high and there are winds
.

The General Police Inspectorate said the persons driving motor vehicles weighing over 20 tonnes during dog days with temperatures higher than +30°C cannot travel on particular sections of national roads as the asphalt concrete layer of streets can be damaged. The restrictions do not cover vehicles that transport passenger and foods, materials for preventing or dealing with exceptional situations.

Drivers who do not obey the relevant road signs face fines of up to 4,500 lei. The fine for legal entities is 12,000 to 15,000 lei.
