On the National Day of Romania, an exhibition of contemporary paintings made by artists from Moldova will be mounted at the head office of the European Commission. The opening of the exhibit, organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Brussels, will take place in the presence of European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu, IPN reports.
The exhibition “Cultural Connections” includes the works of seven Moldovan painters, namely Veaceslav Fisticanu, Valeriu Herta, Ghenadie Jaloba (Jalba), Vladimir Palamarciuc, Igor Svernei, and Tudor Zbarnea.
The event forms part of the strategy of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Brussels for facilitating the European openness of Moldovan artists and cultural managers and for promoting the common cultural area.
