Working group to coordinate actions of Moldova's presiding CIS structures
A working group will coordinate the actions of Moldova's presiding the structures of the Community of Independent States (CIS) in 2009. Moldova's “Monitorul Oficial” publishes an ordinance in this respect and the names of the members in the group.
According to the ordinance inked by prime minister Zinaida Greceanai, the group will draft an Action Plan on holding the presidency, within 10 days, and will coordinate it with the CIS Executive Committee.
The working group's actions will be coordinated by the Foreign Ministry and will report to the Government on measures undertaken.
The chairman of the working group is designated Efim Chilari, a special envoy of the Foreign Ministry. The secretary is Veaceslav Cebotari, an official with the Ministry. Other members of the group are deputy ministers for agriculture and industry, economy and commerce, finances, culture and tourism, education and youth, social protection, justice, domestic affairs, plus the director of the Transports Agency and deputy executives of the Service of Information and Security, of the Statistics Bureau and the Customs Service.
Moldova took over the CIS presidency from January 1, 2009.
