Services at the Chisinau International Airport were disrupted again after a bomb scare was announced by an email sent to the Border Police at about 2am. Things returned to normal close to 5am, IPN reports.
The Border Police said the email informed that a bomb had been planted at the Airport. The special services of the Ministry of Home Affairs immediately took measures to step up security at the Airport.
The passengers and employees of the Airport were evacuated to safe areas for the period of checks. Eventual delays were announced following the suspension of the passenger registration procedure.
The Chisinau International Airport was the target of bomb hoaxes last week as well.
