A 40-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital in a serious state after she was stabbed with a knife by a man on Varlaam St in Chisinau on Wednesday evening.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Nina Dubovca said the man and the woman allegedly knew each other and they got into a quarrel.
The suspect, who is also aged 40, was arrested.
Spokeswoman for the Emergency Medicine Institute Dorina Arsene said the patient was hospitalized in critical condition and is offered all the required medical services.
