A woman aged 48 tried to take necklaces that were allegedly made from gold out of Moldova to Turkey through the Chisinau International Airport, IPN reports.
The woman, who is Ukrainian by nationality, declared only five pieces of jewelry made from precious metals. However, as a result of scanning with a Rapiscan system, 34 yellow metal necklaces were found in her hand luggage. The jewels weighed 316 gr.
The goods were seized. The woman continued her way, but risks being fined in accordance with Article 287 of the Contravention Code of the Republic of Moldova.
