At the snap parliamentary elections of July 11, an exit poll will not be organized. No request to this effect was made to the Central Election Commission.

Contacted by IPN for details, the head of the Commission’s Communication, Public Relations and the Media Division Rodica Sîrbu said applications to conduct exit polls can no longer be submitted as the time limit expired when it was seven days prior to the election day.

In both of the rounds of the presidential elections of 2002, an initiative group consisting of representatives of a number of civil society organizations carried out an after poll by phone. Also, on November 15, the public association “Spero” and “Intellect Group” SRL conducted an exit poll that covered 100 polling stations in Moldova.
