SA „Apa-Canal Chisinau” (ACC) started on Wednesday, 10 May, shutting down the water supply to the apartment blocks with big debts. According to a previous schedule, on Wednesday 4 Flat Owners Associations (APLP) will be switched off, which last 2 years accumulated debts over 63,000 lei. The head of Client Relations Department of ACC, Mihai Golban, announced that there would be switched off the blocks that got in last year huge debts and refuse to cooperate with the supplier in order to pay them. Golban noted that ACC warned in written form the administrators of these blocks about the switching off option. According to him, the most part of administrators is ready to cooperate, presented schedules for paying the debts, but there are many consumers who ignore the water supplier, that is why these blocs will be switched off. Overall, 54 APLPs and Cooperatives are included in the switching off schedule, following to be switched off on May 10-31. Consumers’ debts to ACC are of about 260 million lei, 140 million of them are population’s debts.
