Four apartment buildings and a military unit located in Buiucani district of Chisinau remained without running water after a water pipe on Vasile Lupu St burst in the morning of January 4.  A team of workers of the public utility SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau” intervened to fix the problem.

Contacted by IPN, head of the press service of “Apa-Canal Chisinau” Elena Danu said the accident was caused by the sudden decrease in temperatures and was also due to the high wear degree of the pipe.

The company assures all the necessary measures are being taken for the water supply to be restored by 3pm.
