Four bills concerning the pension system, one of which was put forward by the Communist Party, were included in the agenda of the March 22 sitting of Parliament by a unanimous vote. The bills refer to the pensioning system. The leader of the Communist Party Vladimir Voronin said it’s a signal that the parties of the former AEI get ready for the election campaign, IPN reports.
”We are surprised that these four bills are being examined. This shows that the components of the former ruling alliance are preparing for early elections and want to make the Moldovan people happy at least now,” said Vladimir Voronin.
Head of Parliament Marian Lupu said the four bills were discussed with all the parliamentary groups and they reached the conclusion that they must be included in the agenda. “These bills apply to 600,000 Moldovans,” he stated.
The bills will be debated at the end of the sitting and will be merged into one.
