Volume of production manufactured in Chisinau makes up 51%
Chisinau municipality enjoys a social-economic stability: population’s incomes are increasing and the producing enterprises stopped going bankrupt, Valentina Merla, head of economy, reforms and patrimonial relations Division told a City Hall’s sitting held on Monday, January 22.
According to data from the City Hall, the volume of the manufactured production increased in 2006 by 8.5 % compared to 2005 and totalled 10.8 bln lei. The volume of production manufactured in Chisinau municipality makes up 51%.
The official data show that in the country, during the 11 months of the last year, industrial enterprises of all forms of property produced goods valued at 19.9 bln lei, which is a 7% decrease compared to the previous year.
Experts are forecasting that the volume of the fixed capital investments in 2006 will make up over 4.1 bln lei, which is a 10% increase on 2005, and represent 67% of the volume of investments registered in the country. Foreign investments in 2006 totalled about 1 bln lei or 24% of the total volume of investments flowed in.
The production investments constituted 54% of the total or 2.2 bln lei, while 1.9 bln lei (46% of the total) have been implemented when building the social–cultural facilities.
The share of investments ensured from the municipality’s 2006 budget increased compared with the other years and makes up over 13% of the total, said Merla. As she says, in 2006 the municipality expended about 12 mln lei for supplying the dwelling private sector with gas.
The volume of the consumer goods in Chisinau topped 12.9 bln lei last year, increasing by 18% compared to the previous year, and made up 63.2% of the total volume produced in the country. The volume of the services by means of the officially registered entities totalled 4.3 bln lei, by 19% more than last year, and comprises 62% of the total volume registered in the country.
