In January-September 2006, the industrial enterprises of all forms of property manufactured production amounting to about MDL 14.9 mln in current prices. The index of the industrial production volume constituted 93% compared with January-September 2005 and in September compared with September 2005 this index constituted only 84.6%. The drop of the industrial production volume in the analyzed period, compared with the same period of the last year was caused by the reduction of the production volume at the enterprises performing the following activities: wine production – by 50% (having a share of 10% in the structure of the industrial production it diminished by 9.3% the total industrial production), distilled alcoholic beverages production – by 31%, tobacco products – by 17%, of glass and glass products – by 7%, oils and fats – by 7%, paper and cardboard – by 10%, production of machines and equipments - by 7% etc. At the same time, in some fields the industrial production volume increased, but this fact did not fully attenuate the total decrease of the industrial production. The following fields registered increases of the industrial production volume: towing industry (1.7-fold); production of medical equipment and instruments (1.7-fold); production of concrete, lime and plaster (by 31%); production of carpets (by 27); extractive industry (by 22%); finished metal products (by 20%); stone cutting and shaping (by 20%); steam and hot water supply (by 17%); production of dyes and varnishes (by 11%); metallurgical industry (by 9%); footwear production (by 8%); production and distribution of electric power by (8%). The production volume of the food and beverages industry enterprises went down by 21%. At the same time, the production volume increased at the enterprises producing mineral water (by 18%), refreshing drinks (by 19%); fodder for animals (by 18%); processing and conserving fruits and vegetables (by 14%); beer production (by 12%); production, processing and preservation of meat and meat products (by 7%).
