Vladimir Voronin will top the list of candidates of the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and Socialists, the leader of the PSRM Igor Dodon stated for a TV channel. He noted that the list of candidates will be submitted to the Central Election Commission for registration on May 14, IPN reports.

“My parents and grandparents taught me that I should offer the place to those who are more experienced than I am. I think Vladimir Voronin is more experienced than I am. He held office of President for two times and has huge experience. Vladimir Voronin will head the list of this bloc,” said Igor Dodon.

The Socialist leader also said that the PSRM and PCRM have had the same values and they found power to come to terms. “The situation is very difficult. I long ago said that we do not have another solution than to unite all the center-left forces. We and the Communists have had the same values throughout the period: we have the same position on statehood. The PSRM and the PCRM consider we should be on friendly terms with everyone. The fight against poverty is the key objective of the Socialists and the Communists,” stated Igor Dodon.

The CEC registered the Electoral Bloc of the Communists and Socialists on May 13.
