Vladimir Voronin: Snap elections will solve many problems, but not in favor of those who are now in legislature

The eventual snap parliamentary elections will solve a lot of problems, but not in favor of those who are now in the Moldovan legislature, said the leader of the Party of the Communists Vladimir Voronin. According to him, this is for now the only variant of the politicians for breaking the impasse, IPN reports.

At the same time, the leader of the PCRM said that if the politicians had at least a grain of common sense, they would declare snap elections. “And many problems will be solved then,” Vladimir Voronin stated in the talk show “Emphasis on today” on TVR Moldova channel.

Vladimir Voronin does not rule out the possibility that  MPs will be “bought” for forming a parliamentary majority. He noted that ten Socialist MPs are ready to concede. “I heard this yesterday and was told some names, but I will not make them public,” stated the politician.

As to the fact that the Socialist MPs signed a commitment, pledging not to leave their group, Vladimir Voronin said a similar commitment was signed in 2011 by some of the current Socialist MPs who then formed part of the Party of Communists. But they ultimately left the group and the party.

The Party of Communists led by Vladimir Voronin won only 3.75% of the poll in the recent elections and didn’t enter Parliament.
