„We do not doubt about the European integration. But we are not euro-sceptic”, the president of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin, stated on Monday conference „European Union and new neighbours”. „We plead for the triumph of unity values through diversity, for triumph of solidarity of all left forces within this process. We are for a social equal unity of European nations. This is our attitude, attitude determined as well by the burden of political responsibilities that we have,” Vladimir Voronin noted. The head of the state also mentioned „the European option allowed strengthening of the society, economy modernising and promoting social investment policies. „Today, this is the essence of our ideology, a ideology of the leading party. For us it is very important the fact that this ideology born not in offices or debates club, but while hard working, along five years, and it showed its efficiency,” the president underscore. The conference „European Union and new neighbours” was held in Chisinau, at the initiative of United Left Group of the European Parliament. It is not mentioned who else participated at this event.
