Vladimir Voronin: I want 12 years of stagnation in Moldova to end

“I want the 12 years of stagnation in the Republic of Moldova and humiliation of the people to end. I want the development of the country to center on the national interests, the interests and needs of each citizen,” said the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin, who runs for MP on behalf of the electoral bloc formed by the Party of Communists and the Party of Socialists, IPN reports.

When going out of the polling station, the ex-President said he wants the Republic of Moldova to be among the civilized states in terms of democracy, freedom, European dimension, relations of friendship with all the states, starting with the neighboring countries.

Vladimir Voronin also said he wants the new Parliament to realize the current situation and to make effort to deliver the made promises. The legislative body should think about the citizens as it is elected by the citizens. The political interests should be left aside and the goal should be to save the state.

He noted he goes to congratulate his daughter on her birthday and will then go to the party’s head office.

Polling stations are open between 7am and 9pm. For the elections to be validated, the turnout should be at least 1/3 of the voters.
