The president of Moldova, Vladimir Voronin and his counterpart from Bucharest, Traian Băsescu discussed during their phone talk about items related to preparing the frontier treaty between both countries, which will be concluded during the visit of the Romanian President to Chisinau. According to a Presidency report, this was the main subject of the dialogue on different aspects of bilateral relations between these two states. Moldovan-Romanian relations were improved after the visit, in 2005, in Chisinau, of president Basescu. Now Romania promotes on external plan the European integration of Moldova, considering itself as an active advocate. The declarations in this sense were made by Romanian officials for many times in Bucharest and in Chisinau, as well as in Strasbourg and Brussels.
