Vladimir Voronin accuses Romania of permanent aggression on Moldova

President of Moldova Vladimir Voronin on December 6 accused Romania of permanent aggression on Moldova. He said he will present a list with all his discontents to the EU leaders in order to solve the disputes between the two states, the Romanian news agency Mediafax informs, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. At a news conference in Brussels, Vladimir Voronin said that Bucharest does not fully recognise Moldova’s statehood and tries to undermine it by attracting students and priests and by granting Romanian passports to the Moldovan citizens. He said that within the next few days he will send a letter to the EU heads of state and government informing about the situation existing between an EU member state and an EU neighbour. Voronin said that since Romania joined the EU, Moldova has felt permanent aggression on the part of this state. He also said that the EU officials with whom he discussed the situation in Brussels expressed their concern over this. Vladimir Voronin visited Brussels on December 5-6 to hold meetings with a number of European officials.
