The former leader of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc, who has been wanted internationally since February 7, also has Mexican citizenship, according to Interpol updates, IPN reports.

The organization presents the identity documents on the basis of which Plahotniuc is sought. These were issued in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation and, more recently, in Mexico.

The arrest warrant, issued for money laundering in the bank fraud case, is visible in the organization's database in all 196 member countries.
