The coaches continue to be changed in the National Football Division. Rapid Ghidighici was taken over by Ukraine’s Vladimir Liutyi, who trained Nistru Otaci over the last month, IPN reports.
In 1988, the national squad of the USSR trained by Liutyi became Olympic champion. The Ukrainian also trained Lokomotiv Moscow, FC Rostov, and teams from the inferior leagues of Germany. At Rapid he replaced Sergiu Secu, who will now work as his assistant.
The changes at Rapid occurred at the insistence of the Italian businessman Pietro Belardelli, who finances the team.
Meanwhile, Nistru remained without coach after Iuri Malyghin and Alexandr Golokolosov left following the financial problems experienced by the team.
Academia Chisinau also remained without one of its coaches. Adrian Bogdan went to train the goalkeepers of FC Vaslui, which was taken over by the former Moldova manager Gabi Balint and which includes Moldovan international Denis Zmeu.
Since the second part of the national championship resumed, three more teams have changed their coaches. These are: Sheriff Tiraspol, Zimbru Chisinau, and Olimpia Balti.
