Vlad Filat ready to make statements for commission investigating bank fraud

Former prime minister Vlad Filat, who was sentenced to nine years in jail for acts of corruption in 2015, informed the chairman of the commission of inquiry into the bank fraud Alexandr Slusari that he is ready to provide the information he possesses and to answer questions of interests. The same message was addressed to the other special commissions of Parliament through his lawyers, IPN reports.

The ex-premier’s message that was also posted on Facebook says all the Democratic Party’s speculations about the violation of the democratic principles are at least hilarious given the way in which this party understood it should govern the county during the past three years and a half.

Vlad Filat said he is confident that the new Government, “besides the hope given to the citizens, will manage to offer the people want has been expected for so long – a State (as we have one Country) that ensures freedom, democracy and welfare”. He urged the current political class not to repeat the bad experiences of the past, when the problems were named and commissions were set up, but all in vain.

Vlad Filat also said that if they had managed then to remove Valeriu Zubco from the post of prosecutor general and Dorin Drăguțan as National Bank governor, the bank fraud wouldn’t have been committed and the tragedy in the Domnească Forest and many other bad things witnessed in Moldova would have been prevented.
