Prime Minister Vlad Filat, Acting President Marian Lupu, and Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca take the first three spots in the Top 50 most influential politicians of 2011 rankings compiled on the initiative of the Political Consultancy and Strategic Researches Center “Politicon”, Info-Prim Neo reports. Another three politicians who entered Top 3 in different periods are Vladimir Voronin, Iurie Leanca and Igor Dodon. “Politicon” head Anatol Taranu considers the fact that only six persons were among the top three politicians in January-November points to stability on the national political arena. “This shows that intruders enter our political elite rather seldom. The political arena is homogenous and new figures do not appear. Thus, the system of parties in Moldova is rather stable,” Anatol Taranu told a news conference. Deputy head of “Politicon” Ion Tabirta said that Deputy Prime Minister Iurie Leanca and the Communist leader Vladimir Voronin have the same score in the 2011 rankings, taking the fourth and fifth positions respectively. “The Liberal Party head Mihai Ghimpu ranks sixth, while the controversial Democrat Vlad Plahotniuc – seventh. Former Communist Igor Dodon made a spectacular six-spot climb, while the president of honor of the PDM Dumitru Diacov kept the ninth place. The most influential politicians of 2011 rankings were compiled according to a different methodology from that used monthly. They are based on a synthesis of the last 11 rankings, where 39 experts gave grades of 0 to 10 to politicians. These are the last ranking presenting this year, but the project will continue in 2012.
