“I’m ready for any political challenge, even electoral one, but the possible early legislative elections will not provide solutions. They will be a waste of time,” the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM), acting Prime Minister Vlad Filat said in a TV program, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. “I don’t want our party to appear with a hysterical position on the early elections in this period. The early elections represent a democratic exercise. We, as a political party and I as its leader, are ready for any political challenge, including electoral one. But the elections will not solve the current problems faced by Moldova,” stated Vlad Filat. He also said that he does not look pessimistically at the possible result of the early elections. “These elections do not provide solutions as it is the same exercise. The same four parties will meet in Parliament and this will be a waste of time with the same task in front of us– to form a functional Government,” said the acting Premier. Vlad Filat stated that if early elections are called, the responsibility for them will be borne by the whole political class of Moldova, even if everyone will try to detach themselves from this responsibility. He also said that the responsibility degree will be determined in elections, which will be the most convincing test for every party.
