Prime Minister and leader of the PLDM Vlad Filat, during a telephone intervention on ProTV Chisinau, said the exit poll results that give the victory to the Liberal Party’s candidate show the Liberal Democratic Party’s sacrifice for withdrawing Victor Bodiu from the electoral race and supporting Dorin Chirtoaca for the post of mayor, Info-Prim Neo reports.
”I don’t think I can make many comments on the exit poll results. It is a good trend, but we’d better wait for the final results of the elections in Chisinau municipality,” said Vlad Filat.
According to the exit poll, Dorin Chirtoaca won 52.7% of the vote, while the Communist candidate Igor Dodon - 41%. The poll was commissioned by the television channel Publika TV and conducted by the Center for Sociological Investigations and Marketing CBS-AXA, the Public Policy Institute, the Association for Participative Democracy ADEPT, and the European Institute for Political Studies of Moldova. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2%.
