Vitalia Pavlicenco dismissed as deputy chairman of AMN parliamentary faction

On Tuesday, September 26, “Moldova Noastra” Alliance Parliamentary faction (AMN) excluded the MP Vasile Colta from the party and dismissed Vitalia Pavlicenco as deputy chairman of the faction. Vasile Colta was excluded from the faction after on Monday his AMN membership was canceled, at the proposal of party’s central standing Bureau. The standing Bureau of AMN considers that it is the moral duty of Vasile Colta to give up to his seat in the Parliament of Moldova, because he caused serious prejudices to the public and political image of the party. The bureau excluded the “hero” of the incident at Albita customs, and the leadership of AMN organization from Hancesti district was taken over by and interim chairman. “We will be merciless to anyone from our party, if it will be found out cases when our members are involved in situations which are not complying with the laws and with the membership statute of AMN”, Serafim Urecheanu, the leader of the party declared, immediately after the decision was made. According to him, these kinds of cases compromise the effort of protecting a substantial number of correct representatives of the opposition, to whom the government forges penal cases in order to settle political accounts with them. At the same meeting, after many debates within the party’s leadership, the decision of dismissing Viatlia Pavlicence as deputy chairman of AMN faction was made, as well as revoking her from the delegation participating at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. “Without denying the role and the political activism, work abilities and others, the tendency to be against the team, which undermines joint decisions, party discipline and correct image of the party were many times criticized”, is presented in a press release of AMN. As a result of the vote from the faction, the leader of AMN told that the adopted measure is regrettable and, as the matter of fact, redeemable, “if it will be correctly understood and accepted”. Urecheanu underlined, though, that the “the objective of AMN” to take over the power and to cease those 16 years of uncertainty and division of the Moldovan political class must be achieved through an united, disciplined and powerful party, not by a club of debates and individual manifestations”.
