Video cameras will be turned on before opening of polling stations and after closure

At the November 1 presidential elections, the video recording will start with the electoral operations to prepare the opening of polling stations and will be stopped when the polling stations are opened at 7am. Later, the video cameras will be turned on again, after the polling stations are closed, and will be turned off when the vote count and tabulation process is completed by the members of the electoral commission of the polling station, IPN reports, quoting a decision of the Central Election Commission.

The video cameras will also work during the sealing up of ballot boxes, the checking of the existence of voter rolls, ballots, stamps, etc. They will be disconnected at 7am and will be restarted after the closure of polling stations.

In runoffs, if these take place, the video recording procedure will be the same as in the first round of voting.

According to the CEC, the video registration system is not connected to the Internet, is functional and active only on the election day and is used to monitor the electoral operations in the absence of voters.
