“I think we will have a government in the near future and the candidate for Prime Minister will be fielded by the PDM,” political analyst Victor Gurau said in the talk show “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.

“There is a solid nucleus in Parliament that realizes the internal and external risks threatening the state. At internal level, we have aggressive forces that endanger statehood. At external level, there is the conflict in Ukraine, the war in Syria, the exodus of migrants who invaded Europe, etc. Thus, the Government will be voted in,” argued Gurau.

The analyst considers Vlad Plahotniuc’s candidacy for premiership is both positive and negative. “I fear the political-oligarchic system will be crystalized and will concentrate all the state resources. It’s not right for a political-oligarchic group to excessively control the state. The positive side is that a solid nucleus of power is needed, given the aforementioned risks. During six years, we witnessed a void of power, which was exercised in areas of interest,” stated Victor Gurau.

According to him, the PDM will not propose Iurie Leanca for premiership. “Most probably, the PDM will field Vlad Plahotniuc,” anticipated the analyst.
